Accounts 2025Objectives and Activities of the Charity The principal activities of the Charity are to secure support and relief for, and to promote the interests of, people disadvantaged by Learning Disabilities, by enabling their parents and informal carers to promote and increase public awareness of the rights of people with Learning Disabilities: - To be treated as individuals - To live ordinary patterns of life in the community - To receive additional help and support in developing their maximum potential. The main objectives of the charity are: - To inform parents and informal carers of people with Learning disabilities of any services and/or support which may be available to them, and of significant events and developments. - To enable parents and informal carers of people with Learning Disabilities to engage in discussion, information sharing and partnerships with other individuals, bodies or organisations. - To promote and maintain harmonious relations between all bodies, agencies and individuals with an interest or concern for people with Learning Disabilities, and their parents and informal carers. - To advance such other charitable purposes which will benefit people with Learning Disabilities as the Trustees from time to time determine.
