Dataset and database licence
The open data exists, but the accounts are millions of iXBRL files with varying taxonomies and prefixes, and the figures have to be extracted, reconciled and joined to the register by hand. We do that work for you: one cleaned and documented dataset you can load into your data warehouse, analytics tool or model.
What you get
Consistent keys (company number), accounts items in one schema, totals derived where the accounts don't state them, suspicious figures flagged.
CSV, Parquet or SQLite. Schema and field descriptions included.
Full snapshot or changes only (delta).
Multi-year accounts as time series since 2019.

Frequently asked questions
Where does the data come from?
From Companies House open data — the register of companies, accounts filed in iXBRL, the PSC register and the officers register — and from GLEIF/LEIAdmin for LEI codes. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Can the data be reused?
Companies House data may be reused under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Terms for our cleaned dataset and its use in your product or for your clients are agreed in the licence. Use of personal data must comply with UK GDPR and PECR.
Why is turnover missing for many companies?
Most small UK companies file micro-entity or filleted accounts, which contain only a balance sheet. We provide every figure that is in the filed accounts and flag which accounts type the company files.
What about personal data?
For individuals we provide only what Companies House publishes and the use case needs: name, role, appointment dates, month and year of birth and, for PSCs, the nature of control. Residential addresses are not provided.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on volume and use case. Tell us what you need the data for and in what volume, and we will send you an offer.
Are other countries available?
Yes. The same solutions are available for companies in Estonia (entity.ee), Latvia (entity.lv), Denmark (cvrprofil.dk), Sweden (bolagsprofil.se) and Slovakia (icoprofil.sk). Data coverage depends on each country's open data. Several countries can be covered under one agreement.
