Terms of use

Effective from 22 October 2026Privacy policyRemove information

1. General

1.1. By using the information service companyfigures.co.uk (the Service) you accept these terms.

1.2. The Service is provided by Confia OÜ, registry code 14407886, address: Pagari 1, Tallinn, Harjumaa, Estonia, email: [email protected] (the Provider).

1.3. The Provider may change these terms. The current version is always available on the Service. Significant changes will be announced on the Service.

1.4. If you do not accept the terms, you must not use the Service.

2. Purpose of the Service

2.1. The purpose of the Service is to make UK business more transparent by giving a free, objective overview of companies' register data, filed figures and the people who run and control them.

2.2. The Service republishes and structures data from public sources. It is not an official register and does not replace information from Companies House.

2.3. The basic functions of the Service are free of charge.

3. Data sources

3.1. The data comes from Companies House: the free company data product (register of companies), accounts data (iXBRL), the persons with significant control snapshot and the Companies House API (officers). LEI status (Legal Entity Identifier) is looked up by company number in the public LEIAdmin Lookup service and, as a fallback, the GLEIF API.

3.2. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

3.3. The date of the latest update is shown at the bottom of each page.

4. Accuracy of data and limitation of liability

4.1. The Service shows data as it appears in the source. The Provider does not correct or alter source data.

4.2. The Provider is not responsible for the data being accurate, complete or up to date. For important decisions, check the information at the primary source, Find and update company information.

4.3. Figures are shown only for companies whose accounts were filed in digital (iXBRL/XBRL) format. Most small companies file only a balance sheet ("filleted" or micro-entity accounts) and do not publish turnover or profit; accounts filed on paper or as PDF images are not included.

4.4. Calculated figures. Some figures are derived from the accounts rather than stated in them, for example total assets (fixed plus current assets) and total liabilities (creditors due within and after one year) where the accounts do not state a total, and ratios. The method is shown in the relevant section. Calculated figures are indicative and are not the company's official accounts.

4.5. The Service does not provide credit ratings, assessments of creditworthiness or any financial advice.

4.6. The Provider is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the Service's data or from the Service being unavailable.

5. Permitted and prohibited use

5.1. The Service may be used for private and business purposes, including checking business partners, market research and journalism.

5.2. You must not:

  • a) send automated requests to the Service, including scraping and crawling, other than ordinary search engine indexing;
  • b) collect data on a large scale;
  • c) use data from the Service for unsolicited direct marketing to individuals in breach of PECR or UK GDPR;
  • d) profile individuals or build lists of individuals unrelated to checking a specific business partner or transaction;
  • e) systematically republish the Service's database or derived analyses in another service. The source data is freely available from Companies House;
  • f) use the Service in a way that infringes the rights of data subjects, disrupts its operation or places a disproportionate load on the infrastructure.

5.3. In case of a breach, the Provider may restrict or block access without notice, including for an entire IP address or organisation.

6. Intellectual property

6.1. Source data from Companies House may be re-used under the Open Government Licence v3.0.

6.2. The design, source code, data structure and derived analyses of the Service belong to the Provider and are protected by copyright.

7. Cookies and technical data

7.1. The Service uses its own (first-party) statistics with one statistics cookie and browser local storage, and Google Analytics. See the privacy policy.

7.2. Technical request data (such as IP address and browser) may be processed in server logs as described in the privacy policy.

8. Availability

The Provider aims to keep the Service available at all times but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance and data updates may cause short interruptions.

9. Governing law and disputes

9.1. These terms are governed by the law of the Provider's home country (Estonia), without limiting the mandatory rights of consumers under the law of the country where they live.

9.2. Disputes will be resolved by negotiation where possible and otherwise by the competent court.
