The principal activity of the company was to act as a trading subsidiary to the Manchester City FC City in the Community Foundation. During the year under review, the company received sponsorships from Ubtech, PZ Cussons, Music Magpie and CSM Sport & Entertainment to support the work which is carried out by the Foundation. Ubtech are supporting an ICT programme which is linked to the Premier League Primary Stars programme. PZ Cussons are supporting the City Lifestyles programme which focuses on healthy eating and hand hygiene. Music Magpie is supporting the Early Years programme which supports the EYFS curriculum in nurseries. CSM Sport & Entertainment is supporting the Disability Awareness programme which is part of the PL Kicks provision.The company has declared a transfer of taxable profits under gift aid pre-year end to the parent charity of £85,949 (2020 - £89,200).A further gift aid distribution, amounting to £11,161 and payable to the parent charity, was approved by the Board of Directors and was not paid before the year end. As this payment is not due under a Deed of Covenant, the distribution has not been recognised in the financial statements as at 31 August 2021. It is the intention of the Company to transfers these funds to the parent charity within nine months of the 31 August 2021 year end, and therefore the potential increased tax charge for the year relating to this amount has not been recognised in the financial statements.
