Our charity’s purposes as set out in the objects contained in the company’s memorandum of association are to: To advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public in accordance with the statements of belief appearing in the schedule prepared by the Evangelical Alliance To provide support, assistance with practical tasks and mentoring of the families of young people referred to us through our work with young people or otherwise brought to our attention To act as a resource for young people up to the age of 25 living in the area known as South Wight by providing advice, mentoring and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of: a advancing in life and helping young people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals, b advancing education, c relieving unemployment, and d providing recreational and leisure time activity in the interests of social welfare for the people living in the area who have by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances, with a view to improving the conditions of life of such persons. Our aims reflect the purposes that the charity was set up to further but have developed to include families in need in the South Wight.
