Accounts 2025The group's stated purpose is: to pursue, systematically, the elimination of the environmental impact of personal transport. Our mission and goal remain unchanged from that formulated almost 20 years ago; that is to develop an affordable mobility solution for people which minimises waste and generates no harmful emissions. Indeed, the only emission from our vehicles is water. The need for an affordable solution has become even more acute as the European automotive industry struggles to adapt to significant change in their marketplace. The manufacture of competitively priced Battery Electric Vehicles remains a daunting challenge with Government and manufacturer subsidies still being necessary. Since we last reported, BMW has shown its new hydrogen powered car which is scheduled for commercial launch in 2028 and Hyundai have announced investment of $85bn over the next five years with hydrogen at the centre of this programme. Riversimple welcomes these as very positive developments - the greater the penetration of such vehicles in the automotive market, the more opportunity there is for the group.
