During the financial year ending 30 September 2026, The Lookout (Carlisle West) CIC continued to develop its role as a community hub supporting vulnerable individuals and families within the local area and wider communities. The organisation has continued to provide practical support, advice and community activities aimed at improving wellbeing and reducing social isolation. The hub offers a safe and welcoming space where members of the community can access support, connect with others and take part in activities designed to build skills and confidence. Throughout the year, the CIC delivered a range of initiatives including community events, activities for children and families and participated in the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. These activities provided opportunities for young people to engage in structured activities while also supporting families with access to food and community support. The organisation also continued to work in partnership with local agencies, community groups, and public sector organisations including the local council to coordinate support for individuals experiencing hardship or isolation. Grant funding and donations enabled the organisation to maintain its premises as a safe community space and to deliver a range of programmes aimed at supporting the local community.
